Job summary

Cosmo International Fragrances is seeking a hands-on Fragrance Production Supervisor to lead daily compounding operations at our Deerfield Beach facility. This role supervises Production personnel and shift leads, coordinates manufacturing priorities, and ensures orders are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing leadership experience, knowledge of raw materials and chemicals, and a thorough understanding of GMP.

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Fragrance Production Supervisor to lead daily compounding operations at our Deerfield Beach facility. This role supervises Production personnel and shift leads, coordinates manufacturing priorities, and ensures orders are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing leadership experience, knowledge of raw materials and chemicals, and a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Plant and Operations Manager.

What You'll Do

• Supervise daily compounding activities and coordinate manufacturing orders to maintain production schedules and priorities.
• Lead Production personnel and shift leads by assigning work, monitoring performance, coaching employees, and supporting their development.
• Partner with the Lead Compounder and Second Shift Lead on staffing, workforce allocation, operational challenges, and issue resolution.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between shifts to maintain operational continuity, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Ensure raw materials, production supplies, packaging, clean utilities, and appropriate tools are available to fulfill manufacturing orders.
• Verify dispensing stations and required raw materials against formula specifications, and inspect materials for expected color, odor, and overall condition.
• Select and inspect tanks, pails, and other production tools in accordance with established cleaning and operating procedures.
• Report material shortages and equipment malfunctions, and work with the Plant and Operations Manager to address operational issues and implement corrective actions.

Safety, Compliance & Systems

• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, GMP guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures throughout the production area.
• Serve as a member of the Safety Committee and help implement agreed-upon safety policies and corrective actions.
• Train, document, and certify company forklift operators.
• Ensure the Compounding team uses SAP/CAMELOT and other production systems effectively and accurately.
• Maintain clean and orderly dispensing stations, tools, computer equipment, and production work areas.

People Management

• Provide day-to-day direction, training, coaching, and performance feedback to assigned Production employees and leads.
• Support staffing, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development in coordination with the Plant and Operations Manager and Human Resources.
• Promote a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture across the Production team.
