Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Startup Solutions Architect for early-stage startups in Southern California. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, prototype solutions with founders, and guide GenAI adoption across the stack while aligning with AWS capabilities.

You’ll work with a small team, evaluate architecture choices, scale successful pilots, and influence product direction by translating founder needs into AWS roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology domain experience (software, cloud, systems, security, data)
• 2+ years of design/implementation/consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Hands-on GenAI, agents, RAG, or fine-tuning in prototype or production settings
• Experience conveying complex concepts to technical and business audiences

Responsibilities

• Advise portfolio founders as a trusted technical advisor, shaping architectures for early-stage companies
• Prototype and build reference patterns with founders, showing usable solutions
• Clarify and optimize architectures produced by agents and automated tools
• Navigate GenAI landscape with startups, selecting foundation models and AI services for production products
• Guide on cost, latency, accuracy, safety, and best practices for GenAI applications
• Help founders make pragmatic build-and-scale decisions while validating direction
• Stay technically sharp by exploring new models and tools and share insights with AWS product teams
• Build relationships across SF startup ecosystem and with accelerators/VCs
• Represent founder feedback to AWS product and engineering teams
