Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Santa Monica is seeking a seasoned technology leader to act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of early-stage founders, designing architectures that fit today and scale for tomorrow.

You will prototype alongside founders, review their agents and models, and help them navigate the fast-moving GenAI landscape while keeping burn and runway in mind. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic product insight, enabling you to shape tools used by startups now and

Competenze

• 4+ years of technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Experience with designing and building applications using AWS services such as Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Hands-on experience building with GenAI (foundation models, agents, RAG, or fine-tuning).

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to a portfolio of early-stage founders, designing architectures that are right-sized for today and scalable for growth.
• Get hands-on: prototype, build reference patterns, and demo working solutions with founders.
• Help founders understand and improve architectures their coding agents generated, including tradeoffs.
• Help startups navigate the GenAI landscape, selecting foundation models and AI services for production-ready products.
• Guide founders through GenAI challenges like model cost, latency, accuracy, safety, and best practices.
• Assist founders in pragmatic build-and-scale decisions, keeping architectures disposable yet adaptable.
• Stay technically sharp by experimenting with new models, agent frameworks, and emerging tools.
• Build relationships across San Francisco's startup ecosystem, including accelerators and VC firms.
• Be a voice for founders, feeding feedback to AWS product and engineering teams.
• Scout emerging tech trends and translate signals into AWS roadmaps.
• Share expertise at startup events to build trust and visibility.
