You’ll prototype with founders, reason about tradeoffs, and stay hands-on with GenAI, agents, and RAG, carrying what you learn back to AWS to influence product directions and set credible, practical engineering

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience across software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security or networking.
• 2+ years in design, implementation or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• Experience designing and building applications using AWS services (Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes).
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Hands-on GenAI experience in prototypes or production settings.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to a portfolio of early-stage founders, designing scalable architectures.
• Get hands-on: prototype, build reference patterns, and demo solutions with founders.
• Help founders understand and improve architectures generated by their coding agents.
• Navigate the GenAI landscape and ship production-ready AI-powered products.
• Guide founders on model cost, latency, accuracy, safety, and best practices.
• Help founders make pragmatic build-and-scale decisions as they validate direction.
• Stay technically sharp by experimenting with new models, agents and tools.
• Build relationships across San Francisco's startup ecosystem and accelerators.
• Be a voice for founders to AWS product and engineering teams.
• Scout emerging technology trends and feed signals into AWS roadmaps.
• Share expertise at startup events and developer meetups to build trust.
