Job summary

Go Fractional is seeking a hands-on Fractional Controller to lead and build its finance function on a part-time basis. You will own day-to-day finance operations, improve month-end close, and advance automation within the ERP platform while supporting the development of accounting staff.

You will partner with cross-functional leaders, drive internal controls, and help position the company for future growth, audits, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader with hands-on finance operations.
• Strong experience with ERP platforms and a track record of automation improvements.
• Background in distribution or manufacturing accounting preferred.
• Experience building processes, controls, and small finance teams.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance operations: A/P, A/R, GL, month-end close.
• Build and document finance processes, controls, and reporting cadence.
• Improve and automate workflows within the ERP platform; pursue AI opportunities.
• Prepare timely financial reports, cash forecasts, and KPIs for leadership.
• Partner with Operations and Sales to support billing, costing, and inventory accounting.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage accounting staff as needed.
• Support audits, tax preparers, and external advisors.
• Act as primary finance leader until the role converts to full-time hire.

A growing distribution business seeks a hands-on Fractional Controller to lead and build its finance function. This part-time engagement will provide oversight of core accounting operations, improve month-end close and reporting, advance automation within the organization’s ERP platform, and support the development of accounting staff. The company is also looking to use automation and AI to reduce manual work.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close
• Build and document finance processes, internal controls, and reporting cadence
• Improve and automate workflows within the ERP platform; identify and implement automation and AI opportunities
• Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, cash forecasts, and KPIs to leadership
• Partner with Operations and Sales to support accurate billing, costing, and inventory accounting
• Recruit, mentor, and manage accounting hires as needed
• Support audits, tax preparers, and external advisors as required
• Act as the primary finance leader until or if the role converts to a full-time hire
