Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
3-5 years of diesel/automotive technician experience or equivalent.
Current, valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
Experience with diesel/gas engines, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to provide accurate quotes and work with OEM guidelines.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and accuracy targets.
Perform work in a shop setting.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; provide repair recommendations and perform repairs.
Follow safety policies and wear PPE; maintain a clean work area.
Complete related paperwork and input data into service systems.
Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, and inspect assemblies.
Test and verify operation of repairs and adjustments.
Perform engine/component rebuilds with supervision.
Accurately complete service reports.
