Job summary

ProPetro is seeking a Hydraulic Fracturing Engineer Intern to support field engineers and operations in Midland, TX. You will gain hands-on experience by observing frac site mechanics, shadowing in the lab, and assisting with safety and quality work across the organization.

The role includes delivering presentations and participating in a summer mentorship program designed to accelerate professional development.

Qualifications

Active enrollment in an engineering degree (bachelor’s or master’s).
Willingness to work full-time during summer (40+ hours/week).
Able to work on-site in Midland, TX.
Strong verbal and written communication with all levels of staff.
Ability to meet deadlines while preparing reports and presentations.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Detail oriented with good time management and organization.
Maintain professionalism when representing the organization.
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Learn frac site mechanics, including equipment, operations, safety, and products.
Shadow the lab and fluid techs to learn about water quality issues and testing.
Shadow engineers and field staff to gain technical knowledge of operations.
Deliver multiple presentations during the internship and a final summer presentation.
Participate in community service for 1 week.
Abide by HSE policies and use PPE in all activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
