Job summary

ProPetro Services, Inc. invites engineering students for a Hydraulic Fracturing Engineer Intern position in Midland, TX. The internship offers hands-on field exposure, laboratory shadowing, and mentorship across operations, safety, and technical projects.

You will prepare and deliver presentations, participate in community service, and adhere to HSE training and PPE protocols. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering program, available for 40+ hours per week this summer, and able to

Qualifications

Active enrollment in bachelor’s or master’s engineering program.
Available to work full-time (40+ hours/week) during the summer.
Able to work onsite in Midland, TX and on 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Learn frac site mechanics, including equipment, operations, safety, and products.
Shadow the chemical lab and fluid techs to learn water quality, compatibility testing, and friction reducer loops.
Shadow engineering supervisors in the office and field to gain technical knowledge of operations.
Deliver multiple presentations throughout the summer and a final presentation at summer end.
Provide community service to local charities for 1 week.
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and participate in required HSE trainings.
Other duties as assigned.
