Job summary

ProPetro seeks a Hydraulic Fracturing Engineer Intern to work with field engineers, gaining hands-on exposure to frac site mechanics and safety culture. The internship emphasizes mentorship and meaningful projects across Engineering operations.

You will shadow labs and field teams, develop technical knowledge, and deliver summer presentations. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential for success in this role, with on-site work in Midland, TX.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in engineering.
Available to work full-time (40+ hours/week) during the summer.
Able to work onsite in Midland, TX.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with personnel at all levels.

Responsibilities

Learn frac site mechanics, including equipment, operations, safety, and products.
Shadow in the chemical lab and with fluid techs on water quality issues, testing, and flow loops.
Shadow engineering supervisors and field engineers to gain deeper technical knowledge of operations.
Deliver multiple presentations during the summer and a final presentation summarizing learnings.
Participate in a one-week community service project.
Attend required HSE trainings and wear PPE to maintain safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.
