Job summary

ProPetro is seeking a Fluid Technician to manage chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing on location, monitor safe transport and delivery, and maintain inventory for each job. You will communicate chemical changes to vendors and clients and support field teams with accurate documentation.

The role requires working 12+ hour shifts, strict safety compliance, and ability to operate company vehicles in various conditions. Strong communication and math skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Fluid Technician or Field Lab Technician experience.
• Strong ability to communicate with vendors, teammates, and supervisors.
• Proficient with basic math and measurement skills.
• Experience with chemical handling and pump calibration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign rates of chemicals designated by each job proposal to corresponding chemical pumps.
• Communicate necessary chemical adjustment recommendations to the client.
• Perform pre-job testing and generate pre-job reports prior to HF treatments.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to maintain a sufficient chemical inventory for each job.
• Record collected Bills of Lading (BOL) into BOL Log to verify chemical delivery and off-loading.
• Monitor transfer of bulk chemicals and ensure driver presence during off-loading.
