Job summary

Neros is seeking a Mission Support Specialist to ensure the reliability, performance, and mission readiness of our drone systems. You will bridge product teams with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and business development to drive rapid issue resolution and product improvements.

You will document requests, conduct root-cause analyses, and create manuals and troubleshooting guides. The role requires hands-on FPV expertise, strong communication, and willingness to travel to support field

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a technical support, mission support, or field operations role within the drone, robotics, aerospace, or defense industry.
• 2-3 years using Zendesk or similar customer support/ticketing platforms.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate strongly preferred, with operating UAS experience.
• Strong knowledge of FPV drone systems including flight controllers, ESCs, motors, firmware, radio control, video, batteries, and ground control equipment.
• Hands-on experience configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting FPV platforms using Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, PX4, or similar software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel and support field operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance, and mission readiness of Neros drone systems.
• Serve as the technical bridge between products, customers, engineering, manufacturing, and business development.
• Respond to technical requests with remote and onsite support.
• Conduct failure analyses, identify root causes, and capture field insights to drive product improvements.
• Create and maintain user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
