Forestdale Inc. in Forest Hills, NY, is seeking a Foster Parent Support & Recruitment Supervisor to lead recruitment, training, and support for foster and adoptive parents.

This role requires creativity, leadership, and dedication to strengthening families and communities. The supervisor will manage screening, home studies, licensing processes, and ongoing training, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to improve placement stability and outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three years of post-graduate experience in the field of child welfare, with one year of experience in foster care and adoption.
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and retain qualified foster and adoptive parent applicants.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with community organizations, faith-based institutions, schools, healthcare providers, media outlets, and other stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Oversee the screening, assessment, and investigation of prospective foster and adoptive families to ensure compliance with agency, local, and state regulations.
  • Supervise the completion of comprehensive home studies, ensuring timely, accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the certification, opening, recertification, and reapproval processes for foster and adoptive homes, ensuring all licensing standards are met.
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of pre-service and ongoing training for foster and adoptive parents with accurate tracking and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, confidential case documentation and record management within CONNECTIONS, FACS, ASARA and other agency databases.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to Certification Coaches, Recruitment Specialist and Recruiter.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to improve placement stability and promote positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Monitor departmental performance and ensure compliance with agency policies and OCFS/ACS regulations, implementing quality improvements.

Job Summary
