Butler America Aerospace L.L.C. is seeking an FPGA Engineer - P2 in Tucson, AZ to develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families.

You will implement VHDL for gigabit interfaces, RF/EO DSP, and embedded processing, collaborating with circuit card designers and systems engineers to meet requirements and produce verifiable results. The role emphasizes independent work with standard development processes, with responsibilities spanning from concept to production and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with digital design and VHDL coding.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.
• Hands-on integration and debugging experience.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Ability to attain Special Program Access (SAP).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver FPGA releases from proof of concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems and determine parts and interfaces.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs with directed and constrained random tests.
• Prepare documentation and support reviews.
