Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an FPGA Engineer (P3) in Tucson, AZ to develop and verify FPGA designs using VHDL for Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi devices.

The role requires collaboration with engineers to model algorithms and ensure production-ready releases through verification and documentation processes. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' FPGA experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (CE or EE Tech accepted).
• At least 5 years of FPGA experience with VHDL or related.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from proof of concept up to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Translate system-level requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs utilizing self-checking techniques with directed and constrained random tests, tracking functional and code coverage.
• Help drive projects and execute to program schedules on time and budget.
• Create complete documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user guides.
• Support internal and external technical reviews as needed.
