Job summary

RTX is seeking a Configurable Digital Logic Summer 2027 intern in the United States to develop FPGA designs using VHDL for DoD programs. You will work with cross-functional teams on DSP, embedded processing, and high-speed data interfaces.

A secret clearance/ability to obtain interim clearance is required, and onsite work in Tucson, AZ is expected. The role involves hands-on design, testing, and collaboration across electrical and systems engineering, with opportunities to learn from experienced

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM and enrolled through internship.
Minimum of 60 credit hours by start of internship/co-op.
Coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, PCB design or signal integrity.

Responsibilities

Participate as a team member in detailed circuit design.
Configurable digital logic development using VHDL.
Functional analysis of designs and requirements.
Model and develop DSP and math functions using Python and MATLAB.
Labs integration using Python and C/C++.
Perform functional verification testing.
Develop automation tools using shell scripts, Python, Perl.
Collaborate with engineering and production for root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
