Job summary

RTX in Massachusetts is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer II to design and deliver production-grade FPGA releases, translate system requirements into FPGA requirements, and verify with constrained random testing. The role focuses on VHDL development for Xilinx/Altera devices, and close collaboration with hardware teams on CONOPS and interfaces.

You will work onsite in MA, with DoD clearance emphasis, and contribute to documentation, reviews, and project schedules to meet budget and schedule

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience to include at least 1 of the following: Digital design and VHDL coding.
• Xilinx or Altera devices and flow tools for FPGA/ASIC solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production quality FPGA releases from initial concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems including parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs with self-checking tests and track coverage.
• Help drive projects and meet schedules and budgets.
• Create documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user guides.
• May support internal and external technical reviews.
