Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer I to design and develop CCDAs and FPGA-based solutions for mission‑critical applications. You will work with systems, mechanical, and software engineers in an agile team to move concepts through hardware integration and production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience or coursework in digital electronics, circuit design/analysis, digital design or HDL targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience with test/equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or multimeters for characterization, debugging and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations targeting configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high‑reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on physical layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a laboratory environment using advanced test instrumentation against requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management artifacts throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from initial customer requirement definition through formal production release.
