Job summary

RTX is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer I for its Marlborough, MA site to design and develop CCAs and FPGA-based solutions for mission-critical applications in a cross‑functional, agile team. You will contribute from architectural concepts through hardware integration and production release, focusing on verification, documentation, and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM; degree obtained by start date.
• Experience or coursework with Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment for circuit characterization, debugging, and validation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations targeting configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a lab using advanced test instrumentation against system requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management artefacts throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from initial customer requirement definition through production release.
