Job summary

RTX in TeWKSBURY, MA is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer II to design next‑generation circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and FPGA‑based solutions powering mission‑critical applications. You will work across RF, EO DSP, and embedded interfaces with a cross‑functional team.

The role blends architectural modeling, hardware integration, and production release in an agile environment, collaborating with systems, mechanical, and software engineers from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required by start date in EE/CE or related STEM.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience using common electronic test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or digital multimeters) for circuit characterization, debugging, and validation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations targeting configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on physical layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a laboratory environment using advanced test instrumentation against rigorous system requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management artifacts throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from initial customer requirement definition through formal production release.
