Job summary

Attalon, Inc. in Longmont, CO, is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across the enterprise.

Reporting to the FP&A Director, this role partners with program management, operations and engineering to deliver timely financial insights and influence decision making in a high-growth defense environment. This is a hybrid on-site role (3 days per week on site) within Attalon's Laser and Gimbal Systems Division, focused on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 5+ years FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• 2-3 years with defense-focused supplier or prime contractor preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, Excel Power Query proficiency.
• Experience with BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to partner with engineering, operations, or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly close across business segments.
• Build and maintain financial models for program investment, cost structure, and long-range planning.
• Develop variance analysis reporting with clear explanations for leaders.
• Partner with program managers and operations for program-level tracking and margin analysis.
• Own and evolve Power BI dashboards and data pipelines for management reporting.
• Support ERP transition by aligning reporting structures with analytical needs.
• Prepare materials for board reviews and investor reporting.
• Develop KPIs linking operations to financial outcomes.
• Handle ad hoc strategic finance initiatives as directed.
