Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning across the defense platform. You will partner with senior leaders to provide insights that shape strategic commitments and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with 10+ years in FP&A or program finance.
• Experience in government contracting or defense/aerospace FP&A preferred with multi-unit responsibility.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills with integrated forecasts and reconciliation to actuals.
• Ability to challenge assumptions, identify forecast risk, and translate data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
• Experience partnering with accounting and program teams on revenue/margin forecasts and working capital.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range plan across business units.
• Enhance driver-based revenue, gross margin, and cash flow forecasts with scenarios and working capital assumptions.
• Lead monthly performance reviews and variance analysis with corrective actions.
• Validate forecast assumptions with BU leaders and program teams; incorporate estimates at completion.
• Prepare executive/board reporting with clear commentary on performance and decisions.
• Standardize forecast templates, planning tools, dashboards, and reporting across units.
• Lead FP&A processes and develop team capabilities in partnership with Controllers and Operations.
