Job summary

Apex is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. This high-impact role centers on headcount planning and modeling, acting as the dedicated finance partner to Engineering.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to drive planning, reporting, and analysis for a fast-moving aerospace business. The ideal candidate is analytical, adaptable, and capable of guiding decisions with robust financial insights while supporting multi-million-dollar engineering initiatives from our Playa Vista

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of FP&A or comparable analytical finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Familiarity with PO/PR processes for multi-million-dollar projects.
• Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and partnership with senior leadership and technical stakeholders.
• U.S. Person status required to access export controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Headcount ownership and modeling across the company with department forecasts.
• Partner with Engineering to provide financial guidance to R&D leadership.
• Contribute to annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-range planning.
• Perform variance analysis and surface actionable insights.
• Assist monthly and quarterly reporting for executives and management.
• Identify and implement FP&A process improvements and system enhancements.
• Support PO/PR approvals and tracking for multi-million-dollar projects in Engineering.
