Apex is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team. This role centers on headcount planning and modeling, serving as the dedicated finance business partner to our Engineering organization.

You will work closely with senior leadership on planning, reporting, and analysis for a fast-moving aerospace and space business. The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, comfortable with ambiguity, and adaptable as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of FP&A, corporate finance, or analytical finance role.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with PO/PR approval processes for multi-million-dollar projects.
• Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills with senior leadership and technical stakeholders.
• U.S. Person status required as export controlled data access.

Responsibilities

• Headcount planning and modeling across the company; partner with hiring managers.
• Finance business partner to Engineering; provide analysis and financial visibility to Engineering and R&D leadership.
• Contribute to annual budget, reforecasts, and long-range planning; consolidate and review.
• Perform variance analysis; explain drivers of budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual differences.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting; prepare executive materials.
• Identify process improvements and system enhancements for FP&A workflows.
• Support PO and PR approvals and tracking for multi-million-dollar projects.
