Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista, CA, is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join the Finance team.

You will own headcount planning, partner with Engineering and R&D leadership, and drive planning, reporting, and analysis to inform strategic decisions in a fast-moving aerospace business. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of FP&A experience, strong financial modeling, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with PO/PR approval processes for multi-million-dollar projects.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with senior leadership and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own headcount planning and headcount modeling across the company, maintaining accurate forecasts and partnering with hiring managers on plan vs actuals.
• Serve as the finance business partner to the Engineering organization, providing analysis and financial visibility to Engineering and R&D leadership.
• Contribute to annual budget, reforecasts, and long-range planning, including prep, consolidation, and review.
• Perform variance analysis and explain drivers of budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual differences.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, including executive materials.
• Identify and implement FP&A process improvements and system enhancements.
• Support PO/PR approvals and tracking for multi-million-dollar engineering projects.
