Job summary

Eastern Bank Careers is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, profitability reporting, and strategic financial analysis for the bank. This role partners with CFO and executives to optimize returns, drive growth, and improve efficiency.

The position oversees FTP, cost allocation, and performance measurement across divisions, and reports to the CFO. You will mentor finance teams, develop executive dashboards, and present insights to the Board.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, profitability, Treasury, or banking finance experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing finance professionals and business partners.
• Strong knowledge of banking financial statements, balance sheet management, profitability analysis, and regulatory banking environment.
• Experience with Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), cost allocation methodologies, and profitability systems.
• Experience supporting executive leadership, Board reporting, and strategic planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop long-term financial plans aligned with objectives.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports to leadership and Board.
• Oversee FTP methodology and profitability attribution.
• Mentor Divisional Finance Officers and ensure consistent reporting.
• Partner with Treasury, Accounting, Risk, and Operations to drive decisions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
