Job summary

Carbon Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA, invites a highly analytical Head of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. You will partner with the CFO and cross-functional leaders to drive top-line revenue planning, boards-level reporting, and modernize financial systems.

A hands-on leader who mentors the FP&A team and communicates insights to executives is ideal. The role reports to the SVP, Finance, requires in-office presence 3 days/week in Sunnyvale, and offers a comprehensive total

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or investment banking, with at least 2+ years in a management or leadership capacity.
• Experience preparing and presenting Board-level financial materials and executive dashboards.
• Advanced financial modeling skills with full three-statement modeling, revenue forecasting, and unit economics.
• Hands-on experience with CPM tools (Anaplan, Pigment, Drivetrain, or similar).
• Exceptional communication translating financial data for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and long-range planning cycles for the Board and executives.
• Own revenue and cash flow modeling; partner with BU leaders on top-line targets vs capacity.
• Oversee implementation and optimization of Drivetrain for automated workflows and reporting.
• Deliver quarterly metrics and Business Review packages; ensure month/quarter-end close data integrity.
• Manage FP&A team; mentor, develop, and drive high performance.
• Act as trusted financial advisor to department heads on budgets and ROI decisions.
