Reporting Line: Senior Business Controller

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the $1B ELIP US region by providing reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budgets, and forecasts to aid regional leadership in decision-making. You will also optimize controlling activities and drive sustainable performance improvements by enhancing transparency on key KPIs.

The work model is: #LI - Remote. This role contributes to the Electrification Installation Products Division in the US.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Process Optimization: Challenge the status quo, optimize processes in line with the global fast close process, and adapt to new applications like SAP Torque for automation and efficiency.
2. Financial Reporting: Establish and oversee processes to ensure transparent financial results, maintaining high quality and compliance with ABB standards. Understand key financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
3. Internal Controls and Compliance: Support US region compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and ABB policies, leading initiatives as needed to align with accounting policies and controls.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with manufacturing facilities and distribution centers on finance projects, promoting process harmonization and collaboration with sales, marketing, and product managers.
5. OHS and Integrity: Promote a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvements, and uphold ABB values and standards.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, operations, or internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Detail-oriented team player with adherence to deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP Torque and tools like Power BI, TM1.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Legal work authorization in the US is required.
