Qualifications

• 2–4 years of FP&A or similar analysis experience.

• Experience with variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Onsite work in Boston.

About the Opportunity

The Atlantic Group is partnering with a growing private equity-backed organization seeking an FP&A Associate to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across a portfolio of operating companies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to gain broad exposure to multiple businesses while working directly with the CFO and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical foundation, excellent financial modeling skills, and an interest in working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages across multiple portfolio companies.
• Build and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze financial trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner directly with the CFO and portfolio company Controllers to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Analyze financial statements, investigate variances, and identify discrepancies.
• Support financial planning initiatives and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Assist with portfolio-wide reporting, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making.
• Work across multiple businesses to improve reporting consistency and financial visibility.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, including experience building models from scratch.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Background in financial services or professional services preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong academic background and demonstrated analytical ability.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work directly with senior executives.
• Comfortable working primarily onsite in Boston.
• Approximately $100,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.
