Job summary

Great River Group seeks an FP&A Manager to build the finance function across its geotechnical engineering platform. You’ll own data, reporting, forecasting and scalable processes in a true 0-to-1 setup within a holding-company structure.

You’ll partner with controllers, drive cross-entity standardization, and deliver actionable insights to leadership. This role is in an operating company environment with travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience gained within a company.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP/reporting systems (Acumatica, NetSuite, PowerBI).
• Experience across multiple entities, business units, or holding-company structures.
• Self-sufficient and capable of owning ambiguous problems and driving to resolution.
• Curious mindset; traces numbers to their sources rather than accepting them at face value.
• Strong communication skills; able to present results and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Aligned with GRC and GRG values: integrity, trust, ownership, grit, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-entity data aggregation and reporting to a unified holding-company view.
• Build consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI reporting structures.
• Standardize chart of accounts, reporting cadence, and data definitions across the platform.
• Develop the initial FP&A reporting infrastructure and forecasting capability.
• Ensure data integrity; analyze variances and challenge data sources and logic.
• Streamline accounting workflows; pursue automation and system integration.
• Partner with executives and controllers; provide weekly/monthly executive reporting.
• Maintain strong relationships with entity leaders and shared services to drive improvements.
