Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial model development. You will analyze actual versus budgeted results and provide insights to multiple management levels.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments and the preparation of monthly reports. The position requires strong Excel skills, experience with financial systems, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• CPA, CMA, FPAC, or experience in wholesale and distribution industries preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English preferred.
• Prior experience in developing financial models, management reports and variance analysis is preferred.
• Must have advanced technical skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Access a plus, and working knowledge of financial systems, preferably SAP, Internet and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Plays a key role in the preparation of the annual budget process.
• Analyzes actual versus budgeted financial results and provide variance analysis highlighting key business drivers and opportunities.
• Assists various departments, branches & other FP&A members with financial model creation and providing insight to ensure the best business decision is made.
• Analyzes financial & transactional data supporting monthly journal entries and various management reports.
• Analyzes financial information against internal and external benchmarks.
• Provide support for financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and other finance-related activities.
• Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis.
