Job summary

Border States is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the FP&A team in Fargo, ND. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting to management.

You will build financial models, analyze actual vs. budgeted results, and partner with departments to drive profitability and informed decisions. Travel up to 10% may be required. A BS in accounting or finance and strong Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• CPA/CMA/FPAC or wholesale/distribution experience preferred.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English preferred.
• Experience with financial models, management reports and variance analysis preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports annual budget process.
• Analyzes actual vs budgeted results; provides variance analysis.
• Develops financial models and provides insight for business decisions.
• Supports financial reporting, forecasting, and monthly management reports.
• Assists departments in budgeting and planning activities.
• Performs ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
