Job summary

Shift Technology in Boston is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the finance team. You will work with the CFO and Head of FP&A on financial planning, reporting, and analyses to influence scaling decisions. The role is hybrid in the Boston area, with collaboration across leadership and global teams.

You will build models, dashboards, and executive summaries while exploring AI-augmented analytics and maintaining data integrity. Strong Excel/Sheets skills and a growth mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required.
• 2–3 years of SaaS or subscription-based tech experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to protect sensitive data.
• Growth-minded, self-starter, and collaborative.
• Based in or near Boston and comfortable with an in-person workplace.
• Interview process includes Excel exercise and multiple rounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO and Head of FP&A on financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects.
• Maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and internal reports.
• Organize and analyze large datasets in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Explore how AI tools can complement traditional analysis in reporting.
• Assist with core FP&A and accounting tasks as needed.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and reports in Google Slides and Docs.
• Contribute to process improvements across finance, accounting, and operations.
• Conduct research and benchmarking to support strategic decisions.
