Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Finance professional to support the Investment Banking Division's reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The role focuses on weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reporting, revenue analysis, and ad hoc inquiries to aid strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in financial services with FP&A or lending products exposure, strong Excel skills, and a solid grounding in controllership accounting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional experience at a financial services firm.
• Preference for FP&A and/or lending products experience.
• Strong Excel capabilities and analytical skills.
• Understanding of foundational controllership accounting.
• Interest in financial markets and financial products.
• Experience in Financial Services, Audit, Accounting, FP&A, or related functions.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reporting for the IBD, including revenue and expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare weekly external Investment Banking revenue results and forecasts.
• Complete month-end books-to-reported reconciliations and perform related research for IBD.
• Collaborate with Global Controller teams to consolidate commentary for revenue reporting.
• Produce ad hoc reporting and analysis for Corporate Reporting, ISG Reporting, business units, and Finance Management.
• Partner with Technology on system enhancement and reporting projects.
• Participate in testing and implementation of new Investment Banking reporting tools.
• Analyze financial data and reporting trends to support business and management decisions.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and increase team efficiency.
