Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. in the United States seeks an Analyst III in Financial Planning and Analysis. You will help develop the 5-year business plan, annual budget, and forecasts, delivering insightful financial analysis for decision-making.

You will partner with business units and finance teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP and IFRS, supporting cost controls and performance measurement across the organization.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance; professional designation encouraged.
• 4 years work experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interact with management.
• Experience in GAAP and IFRS.
• Understanding of utility/rate-based economics.
• Strong spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and consolidate 5-year business plans and budgets.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and performance metrics.
• Ensure financial functions align with corporate policies and controls.
• Provide financial design recommendations to business partners.
• Develop complex business cases for strategic initiatives.
