Job summary

Nomura in the United States is seeking a Finance Analyst to support monthly and quarterly reporting and budgeting processes for the Americas region.

Strong Excel and Oracle Hyperion experience preferred; bachelor's degree required. Qualifications

• 1+ years of FP&A experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with Oracle: Hyperion / Essbase (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and communicate summary findings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly analysis of Corporate results for senior management with in-depth financial analysis and insights on key variance drivers; including verifying accuracy of month end postings, analysing transaction details.
• Prepare firm wide management reporting for weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables providing high level commentary to regional management and global counterparts to explain key expense movements.
• Liaise with business managers during the annual budget process, providing management reports monthly, and responding to ad-hoc requests as needed to support business managers.
• Assist with Corporate allocation process on a quarterly basis, working with global teams and internal stakeholders on changes to keys and to quantify impact of changes.
• Manage the execution and delivery of the Americas budget by partnering with divisional CAOs to highlight trends and track variances to targets.
• Build checks and controls to ensure accuracy in reports and implement automation/efficiencies into processes.
