Job summary

Rize Federal Credit Union is seeking a Financial Analyst - FP&A to own the forward-looking financial picture, including budgeting, reforecast cycles, and balance sheet/income projections. You will explain deviations from plan and maintain a single assumption set across loans, deposits, investments, and expenses.

The role reports to the Vice President, Finance and requires strong Excel, SQL, and forecasting skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Ownership of a full annual budget cycle from calendar to Board-approved package.
• Experience building and maintaining multi-year financial forecasting models.
• Experience producing variance analysis with a narrative explanation, not just numbers.
• Strong financial statement knowledge and understanding of credit union/bank balance sheets and income statements.
• Knowledge of interest rate risk, deposit behavior, loan prepayment behavior, and how they affect forecasts.
• Ability to manage recurring deliverables through full production cycles with reconciliation and controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget cycle end to end: calendars, templates, and Board-approved package.
• Build and maintain balance sheet, income statements, and capital projections.
• Produce volume projections for loans, deposits, and cash flow.
• Run two reforecast cycles per year with documentation of changes.
• Maintain forecast model with version control and traceability to inputs.
• Produce monthly budget variance analysis with narratives explaining material variances.
• Back-test cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity and funding needs.
• Prepare and upload quarterly ALM data to the ALM service provider.
