Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Hodges, SC is seeking a Foundry Engineer with 5 years of experience to lead tooling and process improvement in our metal casting operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with no-bake and cold box processes, proficiency with SolidCast, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve defects and optimize tooling performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with foundry processes (no-bake, cold box) and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tooling build projects with suppliers.
• Read machining drawings and interpret geometric tolerances.
• Collaborate with all facility levels to optimize tooling and processes.

• Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experiences
• Degree requirement: Associate or Bachelor.

Top 3 Skills:

• Foundry Engineer Experience. (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
• Foundry tooling Design Experience. (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
• Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast

Additional Technical Skills

(Required)

• Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
• Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast prefers)
• CNC milling knowledge

Soft Skills:

• Able to work with and direct suppliers on Tooling Build Projects
• Communicate and work well with all levels of the facility
