Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Foundry Design Tooling Engineer with strong experience in foundry engineering, tooling design, and casting simulation to support the design and optimization of complex cast components.

You will design tooling (patterns and core boxes) with Creo, run casting flow and solidification simulations in SolidCast, analyze scrap and defects, and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in foundry engineering and tooling design.
• Experience with no-bake and cold box processes.
• Hands-on pattern and core box design experience.
• Proficiency with Creo and SolidCast.

Responsibilities

• Design foundry tooling including patterns and core boxes using Creo.
• Develop tooling layouts with parting lines, offsets, clearances, manufacturability.
• Perform casting flow and solidification simulations with SolidCast.

• Develop tooling layouts with proper parting lines, offsets, clearances, and manufacturability considerations.
• Perform casting flow and solidification simulations using SolidCast.
• Analyze casting scrap and defects, identify root causes, and implement process improvements.
• Support tooling quotations and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in foundry engineering and tooling design.
• Strong knowledge of no-bake and cold box foundry processes.
• Hands-on experience with pattern and core box design.
• Proficiency in Creo and SolidCast.
• Strong understanding of casting defect analysis, tooling layouts, and foundry manufacturing processes.
