Job summary

Cisco Systems in Massachusetts seeks an accomplished Engineer to join the Component Quality and Technology team (CQT) to drive development and integration of next-generation Silicon Photonics (SiPh) and Electronic Integrated Circuits (EICs).

You will serve as the technical interface between Cisco engineering and high-volume manufacturing foundries, owning end-to-end process integration and qualification. Translate design intent into manufacturable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Photonics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of validated experience in chip development, foundry engagement, and process qualification in high-volume production.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFR/DFT principles for PIC and EIC devices.
• Proficient in IC design tools including Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys, and Klayout.

Responsibilities

• Foundry engagement: manage PIC and EIC tape-out lifecycle from PDK to DRC sign-off and process qualification.
• Process engineering: develop and optimize photonic and electronic process flows with DFM emphasis.
• Advanced electronic photonic integration: lead wafer-scale EIC-PIC integration using Wafer-to-Wafer and Die-to-Wafer methods.
