Job summary

Photonic Inc. seeks a Senior Foundry Integration Engineer to lead development and maturation of silicon photonic fabrication processes with external foundries. You will own integration strategy, run structured experiments, and drive technologies from development into stable, ramped production.

This cross-functional role partners across internal design, modeling, yield, and systems teams while engaging external manufacturing partners to improve reproducibility and yield for core photonics chips.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in process integration or semiconductor fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with a commercial semiconductor foundry.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor process integration and cross-module interactions.
• Experience with silicon photonics fabrication and design.
• Ability to design experiments and drive data-informed technical decisions.
• Excellent communication across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute process integration plans across external foundries to mature fabrication flows.
• Define, organize, and drive experiments to accelerate learning and drive product performance.
• Design experiments, analyze fabrication and measurement results, and synthesize data into conclusions.
• Define next-step process improvements and development priorities based on outcomes.
• Lead technical engagement with foundries and align on learning objectives.
• Translate system and device requirements into actionable fabrication strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams across nanofabrication, design, modeling, yield, and systems to produce chips.
