Job summary

Qualifications

• Must safely use small hand and power tools.
• Must read and interpret work instructions in English and communicate with supervisor about manufacturing processes.
• Must have ability to operate a variety of machinery.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform housekeeping of general shop, including sweeping, shoveling sand, shaking out molds, cleaning cores, and loading/unloading materials.
• Assist molders with dumping poured molds into the shaker unit.
• Support the green sand molding line and service the entire operation as a team.
• Move castings to the grinding area and ensure quality control at each step.
• Use hand tools (hammers, chisels, files) and document production/quality forms.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and conserve resources as required.
