Job summary
Asama Coldwater Manufacturing (ACM) is seeking a Foundry Production Manager in Coldwater, MI to lead casting operations from melting to finishing. You’ll oversee supervisors and hourly teams, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and deliver world-class operational performance.
The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic planning to improve OEE, reduce scrap, and advance lean initiatives while ensuring cost-effective production and strong employee development.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership of a foundry or metal casting operation.
- Experience leading safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
- Track record of improving OEE and reducing scrap.
- Experience developing hourly production teams and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily and weekly production to meet customer demand.
- Supervise and develop production supervisors and hourly employees.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen) and cost control.
- Partner with Maintenance and Quality to improve reliability and corrective actions.
- Manage raw material utilization and production efficiency.
