Job summary

Asama Coldwater Manufacturing is seeking a Foundry Production Manager in Coldwater, MI to lead casting operations and drive safety, quality, and productivity. This hands-on leadership role oversees melting through finishing and develops supervisors and hourly teams to achieve world-class performance.

Relocation options available. The position reports to Casting Operations and offers a stable manufacturing environment with opportunities to influence plant culture and operational results.

Qualifications

• Must have previous foundry manufacturing experience.
• Track record leading large teams and driving safety and quality improvements.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and KPI management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and weekly production to meet customer demand.
• Supervise and develop production supervisors and hourly employees.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality.
• Monitor production KPIs, labor efficiency, and throughput.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage raw material utilization and production efficiency.
• Analyze production performance and communicate results to leadership.
