Job summary

Ashland Foundry & Machine Works LLC Weatherly, PA is seeking a Foundry Engineer to support quality and engineering initiatives in our foundry operations. You will work on gating, riser systems, tooling development, and 3D sand printing to ensure robust process controls and high-quality castings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, ASNT Level II NDT certification, ISO experience, and 3–5 years foundry or manufacturing background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• ASNT Level II nondestructive testing certification for MPT/DPT required.
• ISO certification experience preferred.
• Experience with Odyssey ERP preferred.
• 3–5 years of foundry or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of metal casting processes and ISO quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support quality and engineering initiatives focusing on foundry process, controls and procedures.
• Develop gating and riser systems for high-quality castings using 3D modelling in simulation software.
• Create tooling (patterns and cores) for 3D sand printed cores and molds.
• Prepare process control sheets for molding, core making and 3D sand printing.
• Assist in audits and maintain ISO documentation and SOPs.
• Coordinate with department heads to resolve production planning issues.
• Communicate process improvements and progress regularly.
