Job summary

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation in Columbia, PA, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support and improve product, process, and system quality in our iron foundry.

You will lead quality systems, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to sustain high performance.

This full-time role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, proficiency with PFMEA/SPC, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, SPC, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Strong analytical abilities and MS Office proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve quality system docs: Control Plans, PFMEAs, inspection methods.
  • Write/update work instructions, test methods, SOPs, quality docs.
  • Support MOC: validation, qualification, documentation.
  • Lead problem solving with 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone.
  • Own corrective actions: closure, verification, effectiveness checks.
  • Design SPC strategies, charts, and sampling plans.
  • Conduct MSA including Gage R&R and measurement methods.
  • Lead/assist PPAP: PSW, dimensional reports, validation docs.
  • Interpret customer specs; ensure process compliance.
  • Support supplier quality: incoming inspection, SCAR, auditing.
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve nonconformities.
  • Use data to identify trends, scrap, returns, risks.
  • Lead CI projects for quality, throughput, cost reduction.
