Responsibilities

• Prepare daily production and melting schedules, and charges for furnaces; assist as caster when needed.
• Weigh out and prepare furnace charges from charge sheets, specifications and formulas.
• Calculate proportional quantities for partial charges and ensure correct alloying and contamination-free materials.
• Deliver charges to furnace areas using hand truck or forklift; maintain records of material on hand and issued.
