Job summary

Mueller Water Products in Decatur, IL, is seeking a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and rebuild foundry machinery and supporting systems.

You will read blueprints, set up tools, perform welding, and install hydraulic/pneumatic systems while adhering to safety, overtime requirements, and quality standards; join a team driving reliability in a leading water infrastructure manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Team player able to work in a foundry environment.
• Able to sit, stand, twist, turn, lift as required.
• Overtime availability is required.
• Maintain high productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces as required.
• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Make sketches and rough blueprints as required.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools used in the performance of duties.
• Make repair parts as required in the performance of duties.
• Layout, set up, and perform welding and cutting operations as required.
• Install repair, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform plumbing and boiler repairs as needed.
