Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. in Decatur, IL seeks a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our brand new state of the art foundry. The role includes installation, repair, removal and rebuilding of all foundry machinery, equipment and material handling systems, plus building and grounds maintenance.

Applicants must have 4 years verifiable maintenance experience and/or schooling equivalent. The position offers overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4 years verifiable maintenance experience and/or schooling equivalent.
• Able to read blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts and diagrams.
• Set up and operate machine tools used in duties.
• Make repair parts as required.
• Perform welding and cutting operations as required.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Position

Mechanical Maintenance Technician. Mueller Water Products seeks a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our brand new state of the art foundry in Decatur, IL. The work consists of installation, repair, removal and rebuilding of all Foundry machinery, equipment, material handling equipment, as well as repairs to building and grounds.

Applicants must have 4 years verifiable maintenance experience and/or schooling equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces as required
• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Make sketches and rough blueprints as required.
• Skillfully set up and operate a variety of machine tools used in the performance of their duties.
• Make repair parts as required in the performance of their duties.
• Layout, set up, and perform all acetylene or electric welding and cutting operations as required.
• Install repair, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform plumbing and boiler repairs as needed.

• Abide by safety guidelines and wear PPE as instructed.

• Ability to sit, stand, twist, turn, lift and perform all duties as required of the job.
• Available for the mandatory overtime.

Salary/Pay Range

$15.00-$32.50 The compensation range above reflect a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting. Individual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the role, professional experience, job-related skills, achievements, and/or work location. The range listed is only one component of the total compensation package offered to candidates.
