Job summary

Flash Technology, LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for our Michigan City, IN facility. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing machinery, along with electric arc and acetylene welding operations.

You will test and lay out pipelines and fixtures, supervise helpers when needed, and perform other duties as assigned. A journeyman card or similar experience is required, with a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• : Journeymen Card or equivalent experience/education.
• : High School Diploma or GED required.
• : Proficient in reading and writing.
• : Willingness to work in non‑climate‑controlled, foundry environment.
• : Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• : Previous foundry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair a variety of machinery and related components and accessories.
• Perform required electric arc and acetylene welding operations.
• Test, inspect, lay out, maintain, and replace or install all types of pipelines, tubing, fittings & fixtures in plant maintenance & construction.
• Occasionally lay out and direct work of helpers, mentor and assist lower‑scale maintenance technicians.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Location: 500 Blaine Street, Michigan City, IN 46360

Hourly Pay Rate: $28.73 - $32.37 per hour, plus $0.40 per hour for 3rd shift or $0.35 per hour for 2nd shift.

Tools & Equipment

Various woods, concrete, grout, fluids and oils; structural steel, iron and alloy metals; pipes, fittings, fixtures, tubing, seals and packing.

Minimum Requirements

• Journeymen Card or equivalent experience/education.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in reading and writing.
• Willingness to work in non‑climate‑controlled, foundry environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Previous foundry experience a plus.

Compensation Disclosure

The expected compensation for this position is between $[lowest amount] and $[highest amount] per year.
