Job summary

Grede in Biscoe, NC is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a heavy manufacturing environment. You will set goals, assign work, train staff, and ensure scheduled maintenance is completed while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a foundry or similar setting, the ability to work 10+ hours, and strong communication skills to coordinate across shifts and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associates degree preferred in a related field.
• 3–5 years of heavy manufacturing supervisory experience required, foundry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance operations on the 2nd shift to minimize downtime and maintain an effective maintenance program.
• Ensure quality of work, proper use and care of equipment, and correct maintenance methods.
• Select and train employees using existing programs.
• Evaluate performance, coach employees, and ensure safe, efficient work.
• Organize and assign completion of maintenance work orders and preventative tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and take corrective action to return to operation.
